I've rolled the patch back on both systems, so I will have to re-apply to do
the safe mode test.

As for the event log, I'm getting the event id 1000 of unable to unload the
registry file/access denied. None of the profiles that I am testing with
are roaming profiles and the error occurs whether logging on locally or
against an AD domain.
