Hi Jim,
Please let me know which error message you received on the RIS client?
Click Start->Run, type eventvwr on the client and DC, check the security
and system items, can you find any related logs?
On the DC server, click Start->Run, type cmd and press Enter. In the DOS
window, type this command and press Enter:
netdiag.exe /V
Can you find any failed message?

Hi,
In our development AD tree we have implemented the
recommended policies from the 'Security operations guide
for Windows2000 server'. However, when trying to build a
workstation using RIS the client can nolonger
authenticate against the tree. This appears to be one of
the settings in the baseline policy affecting the RIS
server but i cannot work out which one.
Can somebody tell me what is required to allow RIS
clients to autehnticate against a secured server.
Many thanks
Jim Watts
