Hi:
We have a few people we need to setup file/folder permission on a NTFS (on a
NT4 domain controller)
using Win2000 pro box.
But when we go back to change the permission on an NT server or workstation
box, it gives message saying the permission was setup by the Win2000 and ask
if we want to overwrite it
my questions is, most of our computers is NT4 boxes, so we need to be able
to read what permission was setup by those people who used win2000. Is
there an utility out there be able to run on a Win2K box and setup the
file/folder permission in a NT4-compatiable format so NT4s can read them?
BTW, What is the advantage of Win2K permisson if we are not using AD ?
Thanks
Z
