While logged in as "Administrator", a member of the
administrators group I cannot install certain software.

For Autodesk Inventor I get the message (paraphrased)
"Inventor did not register properly becase you don't have
permission to change the registry"

For SmartWeb (a component of SmerTeam) I get the error:
The application could not write to the registry"

Any hints would be helpful.

Win 2000 pro SP3 (had problem in sp 2 as well)
