Hello John,
It sounds like you are experiencing one of the newer forms
of spam. It seems that spammers are abusing "net send"
now. "net send" is the command for the messenger service
which is part of Windows. This service was designed to be
a tool. It can let different devices send error messages
over the network, it can be used for sending inter-office
messages ... things like that.
More information on net send can be found @
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-
US;Q168893&
To stop this spam, you could either block it at the
firewall, or disable the Messenger service on the server.
