Hi Kyle,
There's a couple of KB articles about this. Probably the
best is Q318751. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?

One warning, which is mentioned in the KB, but i'll
mention again, is that there are tools that you might run
that require these shares (the kb references SMS and MOM),
or you loose funcionality. For example, you won't be able
to remotely analyze security hotfixes with hfnetchk or
MBSA if you turn off administrative shares on the remote
machines.
