I am needing to prevent the anonymouse enumeration of
shares on a windows NT and Windows 2000 Server.
I have changed the setting in
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\control\lsa\RestrictAnonymou
s Value = 1.
According to Microsoft this should work. I have another
server where I changed this and it took affect, however
others that I have tried have ignored this setting. On
the Windows 2000 Servers I have changed the setting in
the local Security Polices MMC.
What can I do to force the servers to look at these
setting?
I am using nessus to scan the servers, It there anything
else I can use to test this setting. Just in case Nessus
is wrong.
Thanks in advance
Tim
