Good Day,

I have 2 Computers connected with a 100Mbit Hub, and I
would like to start developing an Intranet page for a
small company. I've installed Win2000AdvancedServer to be
an exclusive IIS & SQLServer platform, and another with
WinXPPro to have Visual Studio 6.0 installed (to use
Interdev). The machines description and the problem I
found are described below:

1st Computer (for SQL Server and IIS):
  Computer Name "SERVER"
  Windows 2000 Advanced Server
  SQL Server Enterprise SP2
  NTFS partition
  Member of Workgroup "HOME"
  No Domain
  No Active Directory
  User Accounts:
    1.
    Username: Administrator
    Password: pwd
    Member of: Administrators
    2.
    Username: user01
    Password: <blank>
    Member of: Users/Administrators

2nd Computer (for SQL Server client tools and Visual
Studio 6 Interdev with SP5):
  Computer Name "LOCAL1"
  Windows XP Professional
SQL Server Enterprise (Client Tools Only) SP2
  NTFS partition
  Member of Workgroup "HOME"
  No Domain
  No Active Directory
User Accounts (same as 1st computer):
    1.
    Username: Administrator
    Password: pwd
    Member of: Administrators
    2.
    Username: user01
    Password: <blank>
    Member of: Users/Administrators

In LOCAL1 machine, I connect with SQL Client to SQL
Server on SERVER machine, using the SQL
Authentication sa, and with no problem. I haven't
tried to connect with SQL Server using Windows
Authentication.

When I run Interdev, I start a new project, called for
example "PRJ", and then enter the Web Project Wizard. I
fill these values:
Screen "Step 1 of 4":
What server do you want to use: SERVER <- note
that this must be filled manually, since the combo is empty
Connect using Secure Sockets Layer: unchecked
What mode do you want to work in: Master mode
Screen "Step 2 of 4":
Create a New project, named PRJ (the SERVER has no
projects created, did one does not exist)
Screen "Step 3 of 4":
None
Screen "Step 4 of 4":
None

Then I get a small message telling it's in the process of
creating the project ... but appears a message box asking
for authentication with following information:
Project: <root web>
Username (text box): LOCAL1\user01
Password (text box): <no info in it>

I cannot pass this authentication window ... I tryed the
following users with no success:
Username: LOCAL1\user01 Password: <blank>
Username: LOCAL1\Administrator Password: pwd
Username: SERVER\user01 Password: <blank>
Username: SERVER\Administrator Password: pwd
Username: user01 Password: <blank>
Username: Administrator Password: pwd

The properties of IIS on SERVER has
Administrators configured as the Operator (Properties-
>2nd Tab), so I do believe this has something to do with
authentication of users between machines, but can't figure
it out ...

I have shared directories on SERVER with permitions
ONLY to user SERVER\user01 (Full Access), and I can
access from LOCAL1 machine.

Can anyone give me some tips please?

Many Thanks!
