I need some help. I use efs on a few folders that resides on a w2k
machine that has crashed. It turns out that the
winnt\system32\config\software (the software part of the registry)
file had become corrupt so I had to restore in from the backup
software.sav file.
I then reinstalled w2k but in a new folder (c:\winnt2) and left the
file system intact. I can access and browse all files on the old w2k
installation, including C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application
Data\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\My\Certificates and so on...
I there a way to recover my certs and my EFS files?
Please don't tell me that I need to backup my certs after applying efs
or anything like that. I'm aware of it and that's not the problem
right now.
Hope you can help :)
