Subject: Re: forgot admin password
These tools will allow a reset of the admin password
without knowing what the orginal was. you use one of
the suggested options to boot the system and alter
the password. WARNING: use at your own risk.
a. http://www.sysinternals.com - ERD Commander 2002
b. http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/
c. http://www.dmzs.com/tools/files/
d. http://www.nmrc.org/files/snt/index.html - bootdisk.bin
e. http://www.nttoolbox.com/public/tools/LinNT.zip
f. http://www.sunbelt-software.com - NTAccess
g. http://www.2600slc.org/texts/SAM_Files.txt
h. http://www.jsiinc.com/reghack.htm 'Tips & Tricks' # 1984
I have used options a, b, c, d. e. I like ERD Commander
but it is expensive, I would suggest trying ntpasswd
(a) boot cdrom
(b) ntpasswd, it does work and is free. (single disk)
(c) boot cdrom (ISO) version of b.(must create cdrom)
(d/e) another boot disk version of b. (single disk)
(f) commercial software (multiple disks)
(g) manual procedure
