If you understand a bit german go to:

http://www.cnlab.ch/pwcheck/

Just type in the Password to check (or a similar one) and press Überprüfen.
It will tell you how long it would approximately take with a 1 GH-Processor
to crack the pwd. The site belongs ot a kind of University in Switzerland.

Your scheme ssxxxx would take approximately 36 Seconds to crack, no matter,
what Letters or Numbers you use.
