I have a brand-new NAS from Dell running Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
Installed and configured it just like my other Windows 2000 servers. I have
a problem with share security that I am at wits end on figuring out.

If you logon to your machine with your domain user account you can access
all the shares on the servers, including the NAS. If you logon to your
machine as the machine administrator you can access the shares on the
servers if you enter your domain username/password. However, this does not
work on the NAS. It will not accept any credentials. If you log back onto
the machine with your domain account, no problems.

What am I missing? In the Security log on the NAS all I get are 529 and 681
errors. What's weird is that it says bad username and password:
administrator/machine, but it doesn't say anything about domain credentials
supplied. Even though you supply valid credentials the NAS still thinks you
are administrator/machine.

Any help is appreciated. I have users who logon from home and this is the
problem they are having.

Thanks!

Dave
