A quick fix, providing you have only disabled the former user's account and
not deleted it, it to simply re-enable the account and put a new password on
it, give the account administrator access, log on as that user and then
change the administrator account to whatever you wish.

We typically just disable former user accounts for a couple of weeks until
we are sure that we do not need access to something that user had access to.
After a few weeks, if there are no problems, we then delete the user
account. It saves a lot of headaches.
