This is a slightly wierd problem:

We have an all W2K network, with 11 W2k Pro computers
logging into a W2k server with Active Directory.
Unfortunately, there was no backup, and even more
unfortunately, the server's c: drive crashed, taking the
Active Directory along with it.

OK. So I replaced the hard drive, and loaded W2k and AD
from scratch. Naturally, even though the domain name was
the same, all the SIDS were different, so it was really a
whole new domain. I had to have the workstations change
from a domain login to a home login and back to a domain
login in order to get them onto the new domain, and of
course, that created all new user profiles.

OK, here's the problem: The server does not show up in
Entire Network. I can have the users map drives from a
command prompt, and they can get into their data, no
sweat. But, the server still does not show up in Entire
Network.

Problem number 2 (perhaps sympton number 2) is that users
can only get to their data the first time a computer boots
up. If the workstation is logged off, or goes into
standby, or is locked, and the password has to be entered
again, then the user can no longer get to their data. The
login IS SUCCESSFUL - they just can't get to the network
data.

Help! ANyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
