Unable to use SEARCH after convert to NTFS

After converting to NTFS, the file SEARCH does not look at
my C Drive(or any specific sub directory). Interesting
enough when the start position is MY COMPUTER it scans the
C Drive for the sought after files. I also have an
attached drive (G:) that still is searchable.
NTFS Security is set to EVERYONE (Full Control), My ID is
Full Control for the Full Drive.
Anyone else found this difficulty and resolved it.
