Well I shutdown the entire Net and all attached devices, tried your
suggesstions but to no avail
I created a new wks and the station works as it should, but all my other
wks and workgroup servers still can not change file/directory/share
security of other network attached machines. Strange and lucky, I still
have full file access. Have researched the web for hours on end and have
not come accross anyone with the same problem; all references to
similiar problems refer to domains. This affects 40 machines, and I do
need to administer at least the servers remotely
