I currently have a PPTP server that sits on the internal network. My
firewall maps an external address to the internal address. I'm considering
moving it to my DMZ to provide some added protection for my internal
network. Is this a good idea or is it pointless because I already have a
number of ports open between the DMZ and the internal network to allow AD
and E2K traffic from the frontend server to the backend.

Opinions?
