I would like to give my users modify rights to a folder, but I don't want
them to be able to delete any files or subfolders.

I"m afraid that read/write access is not enough as the application which
they use, which must generate files in this directory, may not have the
ability to do create files if I only allow read/write ?

I think read/write does not allow you to rename files either, which is
something that i think maybe the application requires..
