You have just learnt the lesson: use rebuild as the last resort only - try
to troubleshoot your problem first.
If the comnputer was a member of Windows 2000 AD domain, you can possibly
use the 1st domain admin account for recovery. Otherwise recovery of your
data is not practically possible.
