I just applied this patch from the Windows Update site (which now indicates
that it is present on the machine.) I had checked the VM build number
before going to Windows Update and confirmed via JView that I HAD build
3805.

After applying the patch, I re-ran Jview and it STILL indicates build 3805.

Q329077 advises (approximately) the following:

If you have less than build 3805, upgrade it and apply the patch.
If you HAVE build 3805, apply the patch.
If you have a build number greater than 3805, you're good.

My question is, how can I fully verify that the patch is present? I'm not
seeing anything else within the Q article advising how to verify the patch
is applied. Am I missing something?

thanks.
