Hi all,
Hoping someone will be able to help....
We are about to rollout W2KPro to desktops and for the
time being will keep NT4 Servers. I have setup local
policys and a default user profile that will be used by
all users logging in. Users only have "User" access. I
also have a logon script that automatically applied
Security Updates at logon.
Here lies my problem. Everything works 100% except for
Security Updates, which only work when the user has Admin
rights. I have considered using "RUNAS" in the script to
run the updates as an Admin user, however all the info I
can find indicates that the user will be prompted for the
admin password when it get to that portion of the logon
script (which obviously is something I don't want!)
Please can anyone help with this, I'd really like to get
rid of our 98 desktops!
Best regards,
Jason Barrett
