Since MS seems to have a policy of not responding to any post regarding this
problem, I'll point you to a recently posted technet page that offers an
explanation of their inaction/position.
There are a number of questionable statements, but you judge for yourself.
For the record, an MS employee recently posted here claiming that there are
currently 30 million Windows Xp installations.
