If your laptop has local user account which is the same as
domain user account, I think you are getting confused.
You changed password for domain user account, but if you
have local user account with same account name, you are
using machinename\local user account. Log on with no
domain selected and changed to machine name on cnt-alt-del
screen and use same account name and old password to
logon. Cntl-alt-del to change local user account password.
