Phile, I think you have already got the correct answer from others but don't
forget that the users you set up must have permissions for the files and
folders you want them to use as set by NTFS.
The one account you are sure to have on the 2k boxes is administrator (or
whatever you renamed it to) so can you sign in using that name / password on
the 98 machines?
Incidentally I have found the old "Network Neighborhood" thing can be a bit
unreliable... sometimes it shows nothing yet there is no problem using
\\servername\folder etc. In addition I have found that sometimes 98 takes 20
minutes to figure out that it's connected. No real clue why this happens but
I'm sure that's not your problem.
