Hi,

I removed a PC from a domain without checking if a known
local username and password were available. Stupid.
Stupid. Stupid. I'm now locked out of the PC altogether as
I don't know any valid local username and passwords.
Now I see from this newsgroup that a Linux boot disk can
be used to reset the admin pass. How does this work? Is it
dangerous?

Will a full reinstall of the os keep the old profiles or
will they be wiped? Any advice would be great

Thanks

Andrew.
