Hi,
I have an environment with multiple users logging into various systems. The
roaming profiles work fine for delivering the users environment where they
need it, but there's a potential security risk and I'd like to find out how
others have dealt with similar situations.
A couple of the systems require Win9x in order to support certain
applications and devices for which there are no Win2k drivers. When users
log on to this system, they need their user profiles.
The problem is that when they log off, their user profiles are left behind
on an insecure filesystem. My thought is to create a logoff script that
checks the %computername% and if it's one of the Win9x boxes, delete the
profile for %username%.
Is this the best approach? Are there any suggestions for alternative
methods?
Thanks for your input.
