I just installed Outlook on my Windows 2000 server that
runs with a cable modem a couple of days ago. I then went
on to the system today and noticed some "*.edl" files that
appeared as icons on my desktop. The icons appeared as
white envelopes. It looked as if the pre-fix of
these "*.edl" files contained names of sensitive files
from a database on my system.
I have since tried to determine what a "*.edl" is without
any success. Can you tell me if my system is being hacked
into and perhaps what these files mean and why they
appeared as icons.
p.s. Will ther be any clues left behind in the event
