Problem occurs when running certain browser based
applications which require the entry of a user id and
password. After sign-on certain hyperlinks open a new
browser window to display appropriate data. When this
new window is closed and I click on any other hyperlink
in the original browser window then the sign-on screen is
presented again i.e. the application seems to think that
the user has logged off the application as a result of
closing the second browser window.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This problem has
been baffling the guy in my company's IT team. If it
helps running the "secedit /refreshpolicy
user_policy /enforce" commanond resolves the problem but
only if run whilst the IE6 application is running.

I'm happy to provide any further diagnostic info. that
may be required.

many thanks
Tony
