Whatever that link states, I can assure you that I've not installed
BearShare, iMesh, KaZaA, or anything else recently, other than MS
service packs.
Well that is interesting. I've just looked up my windows update history.
On the day that New.Net and FirstLook showed up, win update installed
3com Net Driver Version 4.16.0.0
The day before that was all of the other fixes for IE and Media Player.
The point is, this rubbish showed up from nowhere as far as I'm
concerned. Either it came directly from MS or it came through a
vulnerability in a MS product. That is why I've tried to draw their
attention to it.
