The logon concept in Windows is a slippery thing. It isn't simple like it is
with a mainframe or something like that due to authentications being done
for network access to files, for runas, su, and other things as well as for
interactive logons on workstations.
In the resource kit there is a tool called cconnect.exe. It works in
conjunction with the logon script and a SQL Server to attempt to provide
limited logons.
