Thanks for the suggestions, lads. Unfortunately we are on a ship in
the middle of the Indian ocean. But I'll look into both those ideas
next time we go ashore.... It's being 'compaq'd' now.

Rule 1: Don't buy Dell or Compaq or anything else that doesn't give
you normal Microsoft disks.

Rule 2: Have a recovery plan and tools.

Unfortunately, both of these are contrary to the buying policies of
most shipowners...
