"Access Is Denied" when creating a domain trust between NT4 and W2K servers

Something very strange is going on here.

NT Domain NT4 Sp6a PDC

Win2K Domain Win2K SP3 PDC

They are linked by a VPN tunnel, no trafic restrictions.

I have WINS entries and LMHosts entries. I can ping each host, I can
net view \\hostname, I can even open the other's users list in User
Manager.

But when I try to create a trust, and I'm at the NT4 side when
creating its half of the trust, the system reports "Access is Denied".

When I used "netdom trust" from the Win2K Server I again get "Access
is Denied"

I saw the KB

But there's no fix given.

Does someone have a work-around?
