Hi,
I would like a good online resource to read about this question.
First, I'm not new to Windows or computing in any way, but I recently
encountered a problem that I had never worried about in the past, and I
can't seem to figure this one out.
I've got a laptop that I want to connect to a W2K domain, but be able to
disconnect and log in to the computer locally, i.e. same username/password,
but instead of the domain, I log into the local machine (laptop).
The thing I want to do is make it so that both the network user and local
user of the same username share the same profile, directories, desktop, etc.
and this includes access to the outlook.ost file for offline viewing, which
is stored under each user's profile directory structure.
Any suggestions or pointers to more info? I've combed MS's KB, but have only
found references to storing offline directories, but this is something a
little different.
I can make them both the same if I specify a network connected profile, but
not a locally stored one.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
Charlie
