Hi
I've just installed AD (Win200 AS) on a development server
which is also running IIS and SQL Server 2000. I've left settings prety much
as defaults. Everything
seemed fine until we tried to connect to IIS from Interdev
(new project) when we get an access denied message when we
put the server name in. Just for testing, I've given the
everyone group full control to the wwwroot folder but that
didn't make any difference. The problem seems to be COM+
security as I'm also getting access denied errors on a
createobject call when I try to access localhost (which is
the unmodified default web page). The actual error is
Error Type: Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A0046)
Permission denied: 'GetObject'
No messages are writen to the event log.
All of this was working fine before AD. I don't want to remove it as we now
have roaming profiles which are working fine.
I presume the AD install has changed something but I'm at
a loss to find it or any information in the docs or on the net. Any help
would be much appreciated. If this is the wrong place to ask, please point
me in the right direction.
Regards
Ian Gitlin
