Are you talking about a BIOS / CMOS password? Does it come up about 10
seconds or less after your machine is turned on, and before any Windows
splash screen?
If so, this is not really a Windows password. There is often a jumper on
the motherboard inside the computer to reset the password, or some other
procedure described on the web page of the manufacturer of the PC or of the
motherboard. Or, you can take the battery out of the motherboard for a few
minutes. You lose all your CMOS settings, but hopefully your computer will
boot up without these settings.
