Here are what I think may be some of the better fixes:

If you have access to another windows 2000 system and can move the hard
drive to the other computer temporarily, this might be easiest. [Or, if the
C: drive is NOT formatted in NTFS, you can try booting using a DOS boot
floppy disk, like one created on a Windows 98 machine]
