system handles increase!!!

Hi, all
I have got a strange problem. When I run a simple program, just pop up a
messagebox, the handles of "system" process will increase. After a long
time, the handles will reach 20000!!
I have scan my disk, and not found any virus!!
Anyone can give me some suggestion?
