Removing administrative shares

Hi
I came to remove the administrative shares as per article
Q318751 but when I fired up Poledit the check boxes for
create hidden shares were already cleared ?

I didnt do this so, has Lockdown ? If not Im confused if
the default in W2k is to create these ?
The only other thing that I have done is put null
connections to 1 did this have an impact ?
