1. Why do you need to remove the administrative shares? They are only
accessible to administrators (hence the name).
2. The article correctly documents the procedure. The admin shares are created
by the server service. If you configure AutoShareServer (for a server) or
AutoShareWks (for a workstation) to 0, then the next time the server service is
stared, the admin shares won't be created. If you configure the registry
settings correctly, you have to restart the server service for the change to
take effect. (Hint: Don't do this if people have files open on the server.)
