I have the famous "Logon locally" problem that normally affects OWA.
However, it also seems to affect all IIS-based services, for example, Cert
Services. As soon as I require basic authentication, only the admin can
authenticate. Giving users "Logon locally" rights fixes the problem, but...
According to this article, Q311422, there's a way to change the requirement
so that "Access this computer from the network" rights are sufficient. It
seems to be what MSFT did for OWA in Exchange 2K. I THINK I need to change
the LogonMethod value in the IIS metabase from 0 to 3 but I have no idea
where to find that.
Can someone help? Thanks.
This is a new Small Biz 2K server installation. It's a DC running Exchange
2K and IIS5.0.
