Using Win2k Server for ISP/Hosting (Suggestion on Sub-Folders/Security)

I've got a Win2k Server (switching from Unix based) to host few web sites.

I do not have DNS enabled where I will use DNS 3rd party services on the net
and point domains to IPs. Than also use IIS's headers to host multiple
domains on 1 ip and so on.

The structure I have is:

C:\WEB\ -> root directory for sites. I have A - Z folders where domains
will be based on the first letter of the domain.

I removed everything but (in the Security Field under properties)
Administrator than went into each folder or domain that is on currently and
added the group let say domain1.com I created a group of 'domain1' and I
gave full access to folder c:\web\d\domain1 I added IIS, and created a ftp
for domain1

domain1: c:\web\d\domain1
-sub - www -> for all the web stuff
-sub - logs - for all the logs files
                        -sub of logs - weblog
                                        - ftplog

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is there a manual or a book out there for using Win2k Server for more of ISP
point of view and not a corporate stuff. I viewed some video on CDs how to
manage NT but I wish they focused more on WAN instead of corporate intranet
stuff.

I am thinking of switching back to RH or freebsd as a host but for school
eventually I will need ASP.NET VB stuff and SQL server. I also don't look
forwarding to picking up php and work with mySQL.

The way I am thinking is, goto c:\web\d\domain1 click on property folder,
leave or allow or inheret permission which is the admin and add group
'domain1' to the folder to allow access and access for the group only. I
figured I would / they would have more users to login via ftp or email of
domain1. I also have to give access via http to www folder so it can be
viewed via browser without being asked for a password and login.

The only reason I am starting and trying to learn win2k is for the .NET, VB,
and ease of database on NT stations compared to Unix.

I think I can manage ActivePerl just fine and will have to deal with some
downside to the fact that some e-commerce software worked so well on *nix
and not on NT. One of my favorite is/was osCommerce.

Ps. one last thing. Does Commerce Server support multiple stores?
