I meant to mention this: under "Computer
Management">"Shared Folder">"Shares", if I sort by "Shared
Path", "G:\" appears 3 times, once next to shared
folder "P$", and twice next to "thevault", which is the
share name I chose for the PCs and macs.

In explorer, the drive icon has a hand unerneath. If I
right-click and select "Properties" and then the "Sharing"
tab, it shows as "Share name" to be "P$", with Comment:
Default share. But I can also select "thevault" from
the "Share name" pull-down menu... I have not done that!
I am getting confused, so please explain how this works.

Thanks
