I think if you give the user traverse folder permission and place a link on
the users desktop they should be able to access the sub folder where the
program is without giving them explicit permissions. I spose it also depends
on what the executable needs in regard to files it must load etc. If there
are DLL files in the same folder as the exe and the user doesnt have read
permissions then the program might not work. If in doubt I would use filemon
from sysinternals.com to find out what files the exe accesses when loading.
