Hello,

I have a strange but reproducible problem with an imported certificate.
I created a certificate and I marked the private key as exportable. The
workstation is part of a W2K-domain. If I change my domain-account password
and do not use the certificate after that, Windows cannot access the private
key If I am not logged into the domain.
The solution is to logon to the domain and use the certificate one time,
after that windows can again access the private key, also if the computer is
not logged into the domain.
This is a strange behaviour, because now I have to tell my users, that every
time they change their password, they have to use the certificate on time.
If not they cannot access the private key of their certificate if they are
not logged in to the domain, e.g. if they use remote access.

Can anyone confirm this or has a solution ??

best regards fitz
