Well, you did not say how the users accessed the database, so how
could I know?
Not that I know that much how linked tables in Access and that works.
The only hint I can give an SQL Server person, is to set up a Profiler
trace and see what Access emits. Else I think you need to take your
new problem to an Access forum where they may have experience of that
error message (which clearly comes from Access.)
