We have set up SQL Server on DMZ server. As you know it is out of domain,
meaning from our shop I can linked server DMZ but DMZ does not see our
network.
Are there any concerns to include security with using one
central SQL database server?
Create a logig for each web application and grant an appropriate permissions

We are in the process of redesigning our DMZ layout. We have several
different websites that will reside in DMZ 1 which are the front-end web
applications. About 3-4 of these web applications (which are different
from
each other) will have a backend database connection to an SQL server (in
DMZ
2). We want to build one SQL database server which will host the databases
required for each front-end application. Since these systems will not be a
part of any domain (stand alone), can this be setup? We are trying to stay
away from setting up a seperate SQL server for each web application due to
license cost. Are there any concerns to include security with using one
central SQL database server? Are there any references online to assist
with
designing something like this and how it should be setup?
Thanks in advance for any help given.
