I believe the database hand icon indicates the database is published for replication. You'll need to use the replication tools/procs to remove replication if that's your goal.

How do you turn off the sharing to a SQL Server 2000 database. I want to
remove the symbol of the hand holding the database(yellow cylinder) when I
view my databases. I can't find the option. So I am mainly looking at how
to get to that option.
