I was woundering if anyone has done any scripting to locate and Identiify
SQL
Servers on there network? I know that I can use sqlcmd /L but I want to
beable to identify which version they are running. The monitoring tools
are
not installed on all machines and I want to ensure that we are linced for
each installed on the network.
Would be nice to know if they are up to-date on their patches also.
Any help would be great. And at this time we will not be buying any tools
in near future.
Thanks for any help.
