In sql server 2005, I can enforce expiration of a SQL Auth account. The
rule comes from windows policy. I am assuming that info is stored
somewhere in a sql table, since sql server will mark that sql auth
account as expired. I was trying to find that info.
Unless SQL Server stores this somewhere in Windows, and then asks Windows
if the password has aged out.
