I did read the help topic. I'd like to suggest that the wording there is confusing, since "it" is removed from the noun it refers to (database) by another noun (diagram) in the sentence. It doesn't help that the next phrase in the same sentence has another "it," which this time refers to the diagram.
I don't mean to be picky on the wording, but it's confusing to me. So I'm guessing it may be to others.

The sentence I quoted is out of context. If you read it within the paragraph of the topic I linked to, you'll see that "it" does refer to the database.
